Can you please tell me if I did the following question correctly.
1) Mrs. DiNuzzo has a veg. garden that is a perfect square. It has an area of 324 square feet.
a) what is the length and width of the sqaure shaped garden?
18*18=324
square root of 324 is 18
length and width = 18 feet.
2) If Mrs. DiNuzzo wanted to buy mulch to fill in the garden and mulch costs 3.00 per square yard, how much would it cost her to fill in the entire garden?
1 yard = 3 feet
3 feet = i yard.
18/3=6 yards
area= 6*6=36 yds.
36*3=$108.00 per square yard.
c. If Mrs. Di Nuzzo finds another Nursery that offers mulch for .75 per square foot, please determine the price and the difference compared in question b.
324*.75=$243.00
Difference.... $243.00-$18.00=$135.00
