subtraction: 1/7 - 1/x

Here is a problem i worked out can you tell me if it's okay

1/7 - 1/x

1(x)/7(x) - 1(7)/x(7)

1x/7x - 7/7x

1x-7/7x

Thank you alteast i wasn't to far off on this one.
 
BB, you were correct, EXCEPT you forgot to include brackets:
make sure you start using brackets: VERY IMPORTANT!

x-2/4 means x minus (2/4)
(x-2)/4 means (x-2) is divided by 4
