A piggy bank contains 30 coins total in dimes and quarters. The coins have a total value of $5.40. Find the number of dimes and quarters in the bank. Let X represent the quantity of dimes.

--My questions is... How do you represet the quantity of quarters in terms of X?

Thanks

If you have 5 dimes - you must have (30-5=) 25 quarters

If you have 13 dimes - you must have (30-13=) 17 quarters

- so if you have "X" dimes - how many quarters must you have?
