The ratio of boys to girls in Mr. Good’s class is 3 to 5, the ratio of boys to girls in Ms. Garcia’s is the same, and you know that there are 15 girls in Ms. Garcia’s class. How many boys are in Ms. Garcia’s class?

Thank you,
Melva

Find a way to make the numbers comparable. You have:

. . . . .boys : girls = 3 : 5

You also know that:

. . . . .boys : girls = [??] : 15

What would you multiply "5" by to get "15"? What then would be the corresponding value for "3" (represented above by the "[??]" part of te second ratio)?

Have fun! :D
