Φ= Q(1-e^βt) Where Q= 1.5x10^4 and β= -0.003. Φ is measured in Watts.


Determine the total heat energy output of the core during the first 5 minutes of operation.


I have the steps to do the question:


a) Insert known values
b) Simplify a little
c) Integrate the formula
d) Solve for 0 and 300 seconds
e) Take one value from another


And I have the final answer= 1.53 MW


I have got this far:


a) Insert known values:


Φ= Q(1-e^βt)
= 1.5x10^4(1-e^-0.003xt)


Need further help to solve it.
 
You said "c) Integrate the formula". Do you know how to integrate \(\displaystyle e^{\beta t}\)?
