Hello! I don't know why this problem has me so stumped. I am trying to figure out how to translate this square-root function, or at least describing how it would reflect:

f(x) = square-root(-x)

(Not sure how to make a square root sign if there is a way, so did the best I could).

Now, a negative number under the square-root sign will cause an imaginary answer, correct? So it doesn't reflect about any axes, right? Or is there some way this could be worked further to find a reflection? Many, many thanks to anyone who can help out here!

Ahh, I think I found the answer. It seems it can be reflected about the Y axis, although I don't really understand how.

First draw y = ?(x)

then

pretend as if there is a mirror on y-axis. What would the image of your graph look like?
