Trig Equation Problem

hi could someone please help me with this problem

cot[^]2 theta = cosec theta

i have used the trig identity cosec[^]2 theta - 1 = cot[^]2 theta

to give
cosec[^]2 theta-cosec theta-1=0

But am struggleing to solve from here

the solution is for angles -180<theta<180

i would appreciate any help thanks

Your resulting equation is quadratic, in form:

csc(?)^2 - csc(?) - 1 = 0

Let z = csc(?)

z^2 - z - 1 = 0

Solve for z, and then switch back to csc(?).
