Hi, I'm having trouble with questions 2 and 3, anyone able to guide me. Thanks so much

I think there's a typo, since they give you the sine, and then ask for the sine!

This would be a standard type of problem if they asked for, say, the cosine.

Then you could find a point (x,y) on the terminal ray of the angle, and use that to find the cosine; or, as they suggest, you can use the Pythagorean identity together with knowledge of the sign of the requested function.
 
In quadrant II draw a triangle. Label the sides, using the quadratic formula to find the 3rd side.
Finding sin(theta) is easy as it is given.

Did you perhaps intend to write Pythagoras instead of "quadratic formula"?
Please proceed to the second quadrant's corner for this sin ;)
