okay....

If I have a right triangle with a 60 degree angle, and a hypotnuse of twelve...

what is the mesurement of the opposite side?

I think I'm supposed to use sin on this one opposite/hypotnuse= x/12 , but then where does the 60 degrees come in?

please help this is due monday!!

You've got it.

Code:
                    *|
           12    *   |
              *      | x
           *         |
        *__60deg_____|

                   x
     sin(60deg) = ---
                  12

trig scares me answer

The first part is correct in order to find the answer to sin = x/12

Now take that part and find x.

Like so,

12sin(60) = x

plug into calculator and you should get x = about 10.39

Hope this helps

that is correct about x=6 because the a right triangle 30,60,90 in quadrant I is 1, 2, square root of 3. But, if x is the other side it should come out to be 10.39.
