Hello there,

I am attaching a picture of the triangle and here is the question:

Sam has set up a right triangle EFG on one side of a river such that FG measures 20 m and angle DEF measures 60 degrees. EG bisects angle DEF. Determine the width DF of the river.

Please let me know how the question is supposed to be solved. The correct answer is 40 m.

Thank you!

What is angle FEG?

What side length(s) can you determine using that fact?

The answer given is indeed correct.
