I have this problem. I believe the answer is true, but I could be wrong. If is it false can someone explain it to me.

The graph of 7x^2 + 5y^2 = 4 is symmetric with respect to the origin.
 
"Is symmetric with respect to the origin" is the same as "is an odd function". So just follow the formula they gave you for checking if a function is odd.

No, the graph is symmetric about the origin! The statement is TRUE.
If (a,b) is a point on the graph then is (−a,−b) also on the graph?
If yes then the graph is symmetric about the origin.
This question is about the graph as opposed to the function.
