I solved the following last month, can't remember which file I stored it in.
p1x = 72 p2x + 3p2 = 72 12 p1 = y 12 p2 = y-4 Solve for the unknowns. I know p1 > p2. xy = 864. y - 4/ 12 . x + 3 = 72 .Can x be > 12 ? Thanks a million.

This is virtually incomprehensible.

Let q = p_1.

Let r = p_2.

Are these your equations:

qx = 72
rx + 3r = r(x + 3) = 72
12q = y
12r = y - 4

If so, x is indeed greater than 12.
