I am not sure whether you are studying probability or logic; I think it's the latter, and you are referring to a conditional statement, not conditional probability. But even within logic, there are variations both in what kind of problem you might mean, and in how you would use Venn diagrams to do it.

So it would be very helpful if you could show an example from your textbook. (And it's likely that once you find that example, you'll be able to answer the question.)
