Venus has been moving between the earth and sun this month (a few degrees north of the sun). Venus was as brilliant as it can be (magnitude -4.9) around mid-month, but it's still a very bright object in the pre-dawn southeastern sky. This cell image was taken today 0632 hours (AZ time).
