Hi guys!
I'm really sorry for such a stupid question but I just can't beleive these horrific numbers that I get (it's a bond pay,ent project...)
Nom1= 1000
CPI1=104.7. All CPIs are 104.7

There is 10 423 300 bonds. So you need to multiply the result of calculations in the formula by 10 423 300. Please write an answer.

Since you say "all CPIs are 104.7" (I presume you mean 104.7%)" every \(\displaystyle CPI_i+ 1%\) is 105.7%. The maximum of that and 101% is 105.7%. Multiplying 105.7% 16 times (for i= 2 to 17) gives \(\displaystyle (105.7%)^{16}\).

Yes, that is a very large number when written as a percentage. However, "105.7%" is basically a "shorthand" for 1.057 and \(\displaystyle (1.057)^{16}=2.822\) rounded to three decimal places or 282.2%. Subtracting 100% from that gives 182.2%.

so it gives more than 11 500 000 000 if multiply by 10 423 300, right?
