(a) 3/4 (b) 1 (c) 4/3 (d) 3 (e) 4 I'm thinking w is going to be a negative number? How would I go about solving this? Thanks!

You REALLY need to show some effort beyond "thinking w is going to be a negative number"..... "when the number w is multiplied by 4" translates to 4w "the result is the same as " translates to = "when 4 is added to w" translates to 4 + w There.... 4w = 4 + w Now.....you're looking for the value of 3w. It takes just ONE step.
