If we agree yield is similar to return which is paramount to investors, then think
-current yield as return due to income from assets
-capital gain yield as return due to the difference in selling and buying price
How can you show that %return=y?

i'm confused on how to do this without a direct calculation...any help/ideas?
thanks in advance
