Hint: assume that the lowest score was 0.The average of 7 tests is 69%. If lowest score is removed what is the highest possible remaining percentage for the remaining 6 tests?
Correct!I multiplied 69% by 7 getting 483
Then divided 483 by 6 to get 80.5 but felt that was too easy?
Sorry but 69% times 7 is NOT 483. After all 69% is less than 1. How can a number less than 1 multiplied by a small number like 7 give you 483! Be more careful. Might you have meant that 69*7 is 483I multiplied 69% by 7 getting 483
Then divided 483 by 6 to get 80.5 but felt that was too easy?
Hint: assume that the lowest score was 0.

Thank you for replying.69% of 7= 0.69(7)= 4.83. 4.83/6= 0.805 or 80.5% so if you are careful to state that the result is a percent, you got the right answer!
